Hello!  I'm thrilled to be your child's 1st grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year!!  It is going to be a great year of learning and growing while having fun!

A little about me...

Reidland is home to me, it's where I grew up and where I moved back to raise my family.  I'm a 1995 graduate of Murray State University and a 2020 graduate from University of the Cumberlands.  I have a Master's of Arts in Teaching.

​

I'm married to my husband, Derek, and we have two wonderful children, Elizabeth and Evan. Elizabeth is a 2020 graduate of McCracken County High School and Evan will be a 7th grader at RMS. Elizabeth will begin her college career at Murray State this year.  She will be in the nursing program and has plans to become a Nurse Practitioner. Evan is all about basketball and we love going to his ballgames.  We have the most-loving pets, Marley and Lucy.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, planting flowers, watching basketball, and being outdoors. One of my favorite places outdoors is near the ocean on a beach.

It is my highest priority to provide my students with a positive and diverse learning environment where all students will succeed, feel loved, and be heard.  I can't wait to watch confidence and pride grow in their individual abilities through hard work.  My goal is to instill a positive and exciting love of learning that will continue throughout your child's educational journey and lifetime.
